High Ammonia
High Ammonia in your AD Plant can lead to inhibition of your bacteria. In high concentrations this molecule can diffuse passively into the cells of bacteria, leading to changes in the intracellular pH. In low levels this can cause an increased maintenance energy requirement of the system, or in higher concentrations microbial death. Free ammonia can also inhibit specific enzymatic reactions. Our products will help you to control the effects of protein in your waste and helps keep your plant running smoothly.

Prevents bacterial inhibition and helps to reduce odours in digestate by binding to ammonium, in turn preventing free ammonia being formed at high pH’s. Supplied in biodegradable 12.5kg bags, packed onto one tonne pallets.
